This type of chess pieces had been manufacturing at the Ob`edovskaya factory "Igrushki" (means Toys), Ivanovo region, RSFSR, from the 1950s to the early 1990s and had undergone some visual changes over time. In the photo, it is the latest model of the 1980s-1990s, which was shown in the Queen's Gambit film.
